R+L was founded in Swakopmund on the belief that architecture is best practised slowly, patiently, and in close conversation with the people and places it serves.

We work across residential, hospitality and adaptive-reuse projects, primarily along the Namibian coast and into the Erongo. Each begins with the site — its dunes, its salt, its light, its memory — and proceeds line by line until the building feels inevitable in its place. Our drawings are by hand before they are by machine; our specifications are written, not copied.
